Symposium on "Newer Horizons in the Management of Tricuspid Regurgitation"

It was a great learning experience for all of us attending the symposium that we organized with Dr. Girish Navasundi, Sr. consultant & Interventional Cardiologist, Director Cath Lab, Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore on Aug. 04, 2021. In all those patients with relevant tricuspid insufficiency who are otherwise not suitable for surgical treatment, CAVI with TricValve seems to be the best option as on date. Patients in whom TricValve has been deployed, tremendous improvement was seen in their 6MWT, QOL score - KCCQ, improvement in NYHA Class, reduction in weight and various other clinical & laboratory parameters (TRICUS I study). The program was conducted amidst strict COVID protocols. Presence of medicos & para-medicos from the Departments of Cardiology, Cardio Thoracic Surgery, Cardiac Anaesthesia, Internal Medicine made the program highly engaging.
