"Symposium on Newer Solutions in the Management of Tricuspid Regurgitation"

With the cases of Covid-19 recording all time low, we seized the opportunity to organize symposium on “Newer Solutions in the Management of Tricuspid Regurgitation” at Sunshine Hospitals, Secunderabad under the auspices of Dr. Sridhar Kasturi, Head of the department of Cardiology & his team comprising of Dr. Shailendra Singh, Dr. Vijay Kumar Reddy, are a few to name. This program was attended by the Cardiothoracic Surgeons of the Unit, Dr. Anil Mulpur & Dr. P N Rao along with doctors from the department of Caridac and CT Anaesthesia, department of Critical Care, department of emergency medicine, department of internal medicine & department of pulmonology. It was an enriching experience for us and for the audience as the speaker of the day, Dr. Sridhar Kasturi and the panellists - Dr. Vijay, Dr. Anil Mulpur, Dr. PN Rao had discussed on all the options of managing Tricuspid Regurgitation in a patient suffering with severe TR. In all those patients who are not suitable for surgical treatment of TR, CAVI with TricValve seems to be the best option, as on date.

The program was conducted by following strict COVID protocols. Presence of medicos & para-medicos from all these departments made the program highly engaging.
